Languages

Starting with version 2.1, vSlider has internationalization support. This means that all the text on the theme can easily be replaced by a translated version to your language.

Available languages:
Chinese (Traditional) - credits go to Vincent
Chinese (Simplified) - credits go to Vincent
Danish - credits go to Henrik Buchwald
French - credits go to Lidia Boutaghane
German (updated) - credits go to Felix ‘buebo’ Kakrow
Italian (1) - credits go to Giovanni
Italian (2) - credits go to LELE
Norwegian - credits go to Lasse G. Dahl
Portuguese (Brazil) - credits go to Dr3w
Portuguese (Portugal)
Slovenian - credits go to Simon Rozman
Spanish (UTF-8 and iso-8859-1) - credits go to Javier Turégano
Swedish - credits go to Thomas Egrelius

All ZIPs include both the .mo and the .po file. The .mo file is the ready-to-use, compiled version and the .po file can be used to make changes, or perhaps, even create a translation to a new language.
I encourage you to create new language files and send them to me! I’ll make them available on this page.

Instructions:

  1. Download the appropriate language file.
  2. Extract the .mo file (e.g. pt_PT.mo) and place it on the vSlider2 directory.
  3. Configure Wordpress to use this language. You can achieve this by editing the wp-config.php file and replace the appropriate value. For example, if you downloaded the Portuguese language file, make sure you have this: 
    define ('WPLANG', 'pt_PT');

I could make a German language file, but I just don’t know how…!? The translation isn’t the problem…just how do I actually set up a language file…?!

Or can someone provide the strings that need to be translated and then give me a hand with the whole thing maybe…?!

Hi, Rui.
I translate .po file to my language Traditional Chinese, and use poedit to make a .mo file.
I put these 2 files into wp-content\themes\vSlider2, and change wp-config.php, too.
but the words are still in English…
do I miss anything??

sorry, it’s my fault :~ I download the 2.0 version, so it not support i18n…

after changing to 2.1, it’s grat now :)

btw, I also mail you Traditional Chinese(Taiwan, HK) .po..
